Rev. David Steven Webster, age 88, of Maryville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, March 10, 2023. Born and raised in Mascot, TN., David graduated from Central High School in 1952. He was called to be a minister in the early 1960’s. David pastored at Miracle Baptist, Valley Grove Baptist, North Athens Baptist, Mt. Olive Baptist, Calvary Baptist in Oak Ridge and East Maryville Baptist Church where he served 22 years and remained active as a member after retirement. He also served at several Baptist churches as Interim Pastor: Wildwood, Piney Grove, Broadway all in Maryville and Calvary in Alcoa. David loved serving Jesus and loved people well.
Preceded in death by, Parents WO and Eula Webster, siblings, John Webster and June Vaughn.
David is survived by loving wife of 67 years, Wanda Beeler Webster; daughters and Sons-in-law, Janie and Greg Mary, Gina and Don Talbott; grandchildren; Jonathan Mary (Kristen), Jordan Niethammer (Justin), Erin Talbott, Hali Wright (Michael) and Julienne Jeffries (Kyle); great grandchildren, Langdon, James, Mallie, Kylee, Daniel, Camden, Tillie and Kobie; brothers, Charles Webster and Gary Webster (Betty).
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 6 PM at East Maryville Baptist Church, 1150 Brown School Rd. Maryville, TN 37804 with Pastor Keith Johnson officiating. A reception and receiving of friends will follow. A private family graveside will be held before the service.
