He is preceded by his parents, Jerry and Brenda Whisman and grandparents, Pete and Ella Mae Whisman.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 34 years, Lori; daughter, Ashley Whisman (Corey); grandchildren, Chloe Lay, Hope and Millie Powers; loving uncles, Mike Massengill (Dawn) and Paul Whisman (Shirley); sister-in-law, Alysia Lewelling; niece, Jennifer Melvin (Will); nephew, John Lewelling, Jr.; and several cousins and great friend, Freed Townsend (Dena).
A graveside service will be held on September 6, 2025 at 11am at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery at Whispering Waters Pavilion.
