Eddie Dean "Deano" Kear passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025, surrounded by his family and friends. He was a 1982 Doyle High graduate. He was a talented artist whose works captured not just images but emotions and perspectives that invited viewers to see the world through his uniquely perceptive eyes. His artistic vision transformed ordinary moments into extraordinary expressions, leaving an unforgettable mark on all who experienced his creations.
The outdoors was Deano's sanctuary. His passion for planting flowers transformed areas in his backyard into vibrant gardens that reflected his belief in nurturing beauty wherever possible. Through his careful tending, he created living works of art that brought joy to all.
A gifted poet, Deano crafted verses that resonated with insight and gentle wisdom. His words, like his art, revealed the depth of his observations about life and the human experience. He had a remarkable ability to distill complex emotions and thoughts into language that touched hearts and awakened minds.
Deano treasured his family and friends who delighted in his company around dinner, drinks and conversations often filled with laughter. Those who knew him will forever remember Deano for his infectious sense of humor and sarcasm. His conversations could seamlessly transition from hearty laughter to his famous "Deep Thoughts by Deano", leaving everyone enriched by the experience.
Preceded in death by parents, Eddie and Barbara Boling Kear; sister, Pam Kear Pinyon and grandparents: Glen and Nina Kear and Bill and Jewell Boling.
He is survived by sister, Donna (Van) Mitchell; nephews: Blake Huff (Lee), Alex Pinyon (Megan); great-niece, Scout Pamela Jean Pinyon; many loving aunts; uncles; cousins and special friends, Nancy Harris, Wayne Chambers and David.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 27, 2025, between the hours of 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home,3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7:00 PM officiated by Rev. Josh Haines. A private inurnment will be held at Berry Highland South Cemetery, 9010 W. Simpson Road, Knoxville, TN.
