Dee Kirkland

Kirkland, Nancy (Dee) Lumpkin went to sleep December 3, 2013 and awoke in the arms of Jesus. She was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend but most of all, a faithful child of God. Preceded in death by father, Hughie Lumpkin and parents, Bud and Georgia White, brother, Ricky Lumpkin, sister, Issy Varner. Survived by loving husband, David Kirkland, son; James Gray, daughters and sons-in law, Sebrina and Eric Slade, Sherry and Derek Harrell; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Martha Lumpkin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cracker and Wayne Cooper, Margaret and Ernie Turner, SeDonna and Rick; grandchildren, Emily Gray, Chevy and Ace Harrell, Maxwell, Tyler and Isaac Slade and Olivia Frye. Several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at Berry Funeral Home at 3704 Chapman Hwy. Knoxville, TN. Service will follow at 8 P.M. with Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday December 6, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. at Berry Funeral Home and go in procession to Highland South Cemetery for a 1 P.M. graveside service.
