Dee Proffitt

Dee Proffitt, age 85, died peacefully in his sleep and went to his eternal resting place with his Lord on May 24th, 2023. Mr. Proffitt, a Navy veteran, retired from BellSouth/AT&T and was a member of Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Dee is survived by his loving wife, Edna; daughters, Sheri Proffitt Gold, Joni Pfaff (Steven) and his stepdaughter, Christy Bennett (Tom); brother, Mac Proffitt (Connie); sister, Ina Cooper; 7 nieces and nephews; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dee is preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Ruth Proffitt; brothers, Ray, Ralph; brother-in-law, Bobby Cooper; nephew, Aaron Cooper and niece, LeeAnn Proffitt. A visitation will be held for Dee on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 5-7pm with a funeral service to follow at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11am at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Farragut, TN or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
