Della Dee Russell

Our precious mother, Della Gemes Russell, age 92, of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord on November 1, 2014. Della was born January 8, 1922, in Hardin Valley, Tennessee, the daughter of John and Molly Gemes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Russell, brother William, and sisters Evie, Katherine, and Mary Fanny. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Eubanks and wife Jennifer of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Charles Russell, Jr., Harold Wayne Russell, both of Knoxville, and a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Dowling and husband David of Titusville, Florida. Grandchildren: Richy, Randy, and Elizabeth Eubanks of Florida, and Kevin and Keith Harris of Knoxville. She also leaves eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was the cornerstone of her family, never wavering in her love and support. Her love for music and dancing also brought her many friends who will miss her dearly. Her last wish was for her children to lean on each other and to always be there for each other. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 6th, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow at 8:00 p.m. at Berry Highland West Funeral Home.
