Lawson, Don K, age 78 of South Knoxville passed away on September 2, 2012. He was a member of Stock Creek Baptist Church, a veteran of the US Army and a retired employee of the Knoxville Fire Department. He was an avid automotive enthusiast. Don was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wilma Lawson; brother, J.D. Lawson and sister, Betty Kerley. He is survived by his son, David and wife Paula Lawson, and Darrell and wife Laura Lawson; brothers, Bill and Jerry Lawson; sisters Charolette Bright, Ann Simpson, Earlene Watson; grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy, Caitlin, Elena, Madison Lawson.; several nieces, nephews, friends and family. The family will receive friends in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy, on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm with funeral services to follow at 8:00 p.m. Family and friends will gather Friday, September 7, 2012 at 10:45 for an 11:00 am graveside service at Stock Creek Cemetery.
