Don lived a life rooted in service, hard work, and love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, an experience he cherished and spoke of often with great pride. He was a man of integrity and tradition, and he was a proud member of Masonic Lodge, Blanco Lodge # 48, Coos Bay, OR.
After his time in the Navy, Don found purpose and adventure in the rugged outdoors, working as a lumberjack in the forest of Oregon. Later he took to the road as a truck driver, a career that allowed him to experience the city of Knoxville.
An avid outdoors person, Don found his greatest joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature with his family. Whether sitting quietly by a stream or sharing stories about their trips, these moments were his most treasured.
More than anything, Don loved his family. He was married to the love of his life, Faye Ann, for sixty-five wonderful years. Together they built a life of love, laughter and resilience that lives on in their children and grandchildren.
