Don was such a special friend, always made me feel like a part of the family. Don was always working on something for his family or to help someone, and that smile that came from his big ole heart. The world has lost an exceptional man. My heart goes out to Vicky, his children and grandchildren. They were his life, his heart and soul. He worked hard to give them more, to make their lives fuller and happier. He will always be dearly missed, I will never forget the many great moments we shared.

I can not begin to express how intently saddened I am by the passing of Brother Don. When I first arrived in Tennessee, I was befriended by Don and Victoria. They were together at so many Veteran support and charitable support functions I attended. Wherever Don was, Vicki was always there by his side, as I am sure she has been recently. My heartfelt condolences and prayers are extended to Victoria and the entire Plane family. Salute Brother Don, you have earned your wings. ❤🙏🇺🇲

I had the pleasure of working with Don for many years during my career with Caterpillar. Don was always great to work with and he was always willing to share his vast machine knowledge and to offer his ideas for solutions. He will be greatly missed by his many colleagues within Stowers and Caterpillar.
