

Donald D. Utterback age 84 of Pigeon Forge Tennessee, left his earthly home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He was dedicated to his family and friends through his steadfast love, kindness and strength and will be greatly missed by all. Don was born on July 12, 1938 in Madison, MO. He served 4 years in the U.S.A.F., and then graduated from Southwest Missouri State College with a BS degree in Wildlife Management. Don began his career with the National Park Service as a Park Ranger, and was stationed at Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Ozark National Scenic Riverways, Gates of the Arctic in Alaska and the Great Smoky Mountains. After retirement from the NPS he served as a deputy sheriff in Sevier County for 7 years. He was preceded in death by parents, David and Cora Utterback; brother, Mike Utterback. Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Winnie Utterback; 4 children, Paul (Julie) Utterback, Lane Utterback, Janna (Randall) Brien and David (Beth) Utterback; 6 grandchildren, Grayson and Carly Utterback, Jordan Brien, Sam, Will and Owen Utterback; sister, Betty Harris; brother, Jim (Sue) Utterback; loving in-laws Carl and Marilyn Norton and Virginia Noe, and a host of long-time special friends and extended family.
