Donald Edgar Watkins, born October 28, 1935 went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 1, 2022 at the age of 86. Don retired as Vice President of Nationwide Communications, leaving a legacy where he was a great influence in the development of radio, television, cable and satellite systems. He was also an active member at Norwood United Methodist Church.
Don is preceded in death by his mother, father and brother, Ronald Caldwell.
Don is survived by his wife of 64 years, Edith Watkins; sons Rev. Donald G. Watkins (Gloria Watkins) and David R. Watkins; brother Lloyd Watkins; grandchildren Amanda, Kelly, Krista, Brian and Kinsey; several great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held for Don on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 3pm at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery in the Whispering Waters Garden.
