

Doris Ann Walker, age 73 of Knoxville, TN passed away January 26, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Doris spent 30 years at the Chapman Highway Walmart, known as “The voice of Walmart.” She loved cooking, fishing and watching her grandbabies play baseball. She was a loving mother and proud mamaw whose door was always open to anyone in need, with a loving heart, a giving soul, and a smile that lit up the room.
Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Walter Walker; son, Michael Walker; mother, Emma Inman; father, Judd Inman; sisters: Josie, Peggy, Louise, Alice, Dottie, Billie Faye; brothers: Hubert, R.C. and Earl; and special friend, Jean Edwards.
She is survived by her sons: Eugene and Lisa Walker, Dennis Walker; grandchildren: Jessica Starr, D.J. Walker, Emma Kidd, Michael Branum Walker, Trudy Underwood, Amber Carter, Ashley Cookson, Christopher Walker, and Dennis Walker; great-grandchildren: Rayden, JesLynn, Camden, McKenna, Micah, Hunter, Hudson, Eleysia, Addison, Harper, Tobias, and Atlas; siblings: David and Kenny Inman; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and her Chapman Highway Walmart family.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 PM for a 1:00 PM interment at Walker Cemetery in Sharps Chapel on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
