Dorothy M Chasteen

Chasteen, Dorothy Maquita Neloms –age 76 of South Knoxville, passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11:00 PM at UT Hospital. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church. A very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by parents, William and Anne Neloms; brothers, Bud and Bill Neloms and sister, Frances Neloms. She is survived by husband of 59 years, Marvin James Chasteen; sons and daughters-in-law, James E. and Vicky Chasteen, Randall W. and Judy Chasteen; daughter, Cynthia Chasteen Bennett; grandchildren, Brent and Brad Chasteen, Brandi Kern, Steve and Chasity Bennett, Misty Stevens and Heather Coffey; seventeen great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores Fields, Lillian Teffteller and Maxine Blazier. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM on Monday, November 15, 2010, Berry Chapel, with Rev. Dean Braden officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
