OBITUARY

Dorothy Coward

August 2, 1927October 20, 2019

Dorothy M. Coward age 92 of the Claxton Community went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 20, 2019. Dorothy was the daughter of Edgar and Lucy Moneymaker. She was the last living charter member of Riverview Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. She was known for her kind and generous spirit as she was always caring for others when the need would arise. After retiring she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Methodist Medical Center and also volunteered at Goodwill. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Coward; infant sister, Virginia Moneymaker; sons, Eddie and Bryan Coward; brothers, Albert, Ira, and James Moneymaker and sister, Vivian Kidwell. She is survived by her son, Douglas Coward and daughter, Dorothy Buhl; brothers, Ronnie and wife Jacque, and Bruce Moneymaker; sister-in-law, Sue Moneymaker; daughter-in-law, Anita Coward; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren as well as many other nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Patriot Park Assisted Living and Amedisys Hospice. Dorothy's family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Riverview Baptist Church, 410 Old Blacksferry Lane, Clinton, TN 37716. Funeral Service to follow at 7:00pm with Rev. David Watson officiating. Dorothy's Graveside Service and Interment will be Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 10:00am in the cemetery of Riverview Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Heaven has definitely received another angel. What a sweet, lovely and caring lady she was. I spent alot of time with her in my younger days. Prayers for her wonderful family.
