Dorothy (Dot) Elizabeth Anderson Booker

Booker, Dorothy (Dot) Elizabeth Anderson, age 97, born May 11, 1920 in Knoxville passed away November 22, 2017. Dot was a lifelong member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she played the organ and piano, taught the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class for more than 70 years. Preceded in death by loving husband of 63 years Billy (Bill) Floyd Booker, parents, John Wesley and Lucy Anderson; seven brothers and sisters, close niece and best friend, Diane Ward. Survived by daughters, Judith Booker Reed and Janice Booker Luttrell and husband Garry; grandchildren, Amy Reed and Greg Brooks, Missy and Boone Ruffing, Scott and Gretchen Luttrell, Billy and Joy Luttrell; 16 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral 2:00 pm Sunday, November 26, 2017 Berry Chapel. Dr. George Hollander officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Luttrell, Billy Luttrell, Garry Luttrell, Greg Brooks, Boone Ruffing and Steve Ward. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 306 Ogle Street, Knoxville, TN 37920. The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm Sunday in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
