Dorothy E. Knox

KNOX, DOROTHY ELIZABETH McDANIEL - age 90, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Henry and Edith Elizabeth McDaniel; husband, Thomas Newton Knox; and brothers, Lowell, Douglas and Buddy McDaniel. Survivors include daughter, Joanne Knox of Clinton; sons, Mike (Joanne) Knox of Stacy, Minnesota, Greg (Debbie) Knox of Knoxville, Chris Knox, and Phil (Carol) Knox of Kingston, Roger (Bonnie) Knox, and Joe (Debbie) Knox of Knoxville; sister, Ann Slopis; brothers, Mack, Bobby, and Billy McDaniel; fourteen grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff at Beverly Park Place Health and Rehabilitation in Knoxville for their kind and compassionate care. Family and friends will meet at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike, on Tuesday, May 6, at 1:30 p.m. for a graveside service officiated by Rev. Ronnie Maples.
