Dorothy H. Horner McCammon

McCammon, Dorothy Horner, age 93, of South Knoxville, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 30, 2013. She was a life-long member of Memorial Wesleyan Church and longtime member of Mountain Vista Garden Club. Dorothy was a 1938 graduate of Old Knoxville High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Alvin McCammon; parents, George and Ruth Horner; sister, Margaret Hutchison, brother, Harrell Horner; and great-granddaughter, Kassidy Parrott. She is survived by children, Myra Johnson and husband, Charlie; Ronnie McCammon and wife Anita, Sandra Walton and husband, Rick, Jonathan McCammon and wife, Donna; grandchildren: Kimberley, Kristin, Josh, Derek, Tori, Ronda, Chris, Tiffany, Jeremy, Ashley, Tyler, and Savannah; and four great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Dr. Marlin Hotle and Rev. Daniel Mayhle officiating. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Thursday for the interment with Rev. Dana Fachman offciating. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
