

Monger, Edna P. –age 95, of South Knoxville passed away January 25, 2012 at Hillcrest South Nursing Home. She retired from Super Clean Laundry with 46 years of service. Edna was best known for recycling aluminum cans and could be seen walking through her community on her daily can collections. Preceded in death by mother, Millie “Piney” Monger; sister, Maude Hamlet; brother, Ralph L. Monger. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Roy T. and Helen M. Monger; grandson, Roy T. Monger, II and wife Jamie; granddaughter, Tina M. Ivey and husband Scott; great grandchildren, Brittany Monger, Keaton Monger, McKenna Monger, Nick Ivey, Erika Ivey; brother, Paul Boyd Monger and wife Peggy; sister, Helen L. Russell; special friends, Charlie Solomon and Bertha. The funeral will be Friday, January 27, 2012 at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Dunn officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Mt. Olive Cemetery for a 2:00 pm for a graveside service.
