RAY, EDWARD F. – age 77 passed away April 21, 2014. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Postal Service. Preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Ada Ray; brothers, Raymond and J.C. Ray. Survived by his wife, Ada M. Ray; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Jack Pointer; sons, Mike Ray and wife Melissa and Marty Ray; grandchildren, Angela Smith and husband Glenn, Stephanie Anderson , Justin Ray and Matthew Pointer; great-grandchildren, Sawyer Smith, Eric, Kaylie and Logan Anderson. Special thank you to the staff at Ben Atchley Veterans Home. Visitation will be from 2-4pm Sunday at Weaver Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet Monday at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Highway for a 9:30 am interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
