Ellen Diane Nichols, age 70, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. She worked many years in the food industry. Ellen loved playing darts, bingo and being with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Johnnie Dills; husband: Gene Nichols; son: Allen Openhein; brothers: Michael Dills and James Dills.
Ellen is survived by her son Michael Oppenhein (Melissa); brothers: Ronnie, Scottie, and Oscar Dills; sisters: Mary, Judy, and Pat; grandchildren: Linda Branam, Nevaeh, Brenda, Charlie and Derrick Thrasher. Along with five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
