She was a long-time member of Sand Branch United Methodist Church. Elsie worked alongside her husband, Earl, as owner of McNutt Grocery, a fixture in the Ramsey community. She was dedicated to serving her church and community. Most will remember the Christmas treat bags that were lovingly put together by her and her family. She took pride in maintaining the church grounds for more than 40 years. Elsie will be remembered for her selflessness and love for others. She was a dedicated care giver for many family members over her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl McNutt; daughters, Phyllis Jean Heath, Gail Reeves, as well as her 4 younger siblings.
She is survived by grandchildren, Jeff (Aundrea) Heath, Tammy Heath, Carol (Steve) Abrew, Lisa Heath, Debbie Heath, Stephen (Rebecca) Reeves, Daniel Reeves, Timothy Reeves; great-grandchildren, Tabitha Ellison, Eric Heath, Chase Heath, Amanda Ford, Tyler Reeves, Caitlin Reeves, Madison Reeves, Ava Reeves, Emma Reeves, Kaira Donahue, Destiny Donahue, Ricky Lucas, Matthew Satterfield, Ryan Satterfield; 6 great-great grandchildren; 2 great-great-great grandchildren and son-in-law, Ted Reeves.
Friends are invited to drop by at their convenience Friday, January 22, 2021 between the hours of 9:00am-4:00pm at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville. Family and friends will meet Saturday, January 23, 2021, for a 1:00 pm Interment at Asbury Cemetery, 5100 Asbury Cemetery Road, Knoxville, TN 37914, officiated by Rev. Bruce Martin.
