
Elva C. Bunker Wilson, age 92, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 21, 2016 in Aiken, South Carolina. Elva was born on July 13, 1923. She had lived in Aiken for the last nine and a half years in an independent living community where she was able to participate in the lives of her five great-great-nephews and nieces. Elva was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and retired from Knoxville Business College. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Bearden. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jake Wilson; father, Harry L. Bunker; mother, Margaret Wells Bunker; five brothers and one sister. She is survived by her nephew, James M. Bunker of Knoxville; great-nephews Bruce A. Maivelett of Atlanta, Georgia; and Vincent M. Maivelett of Aiken, South Carolina. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Mount Olive Cemetery.
