

WALDEN, EMANUEL R. - age 71 of Knoxville, passed away in his sleep April 2, 2010 at his home after a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was a graduate of U.T. and an Air Force Veteran. Emanuel (E.R.) loved his family, church, Cross Ministries, B.C. and the Boys Sunday School Class at Grace Baptist Church. He retired from T.V.A. and enjoyed all sorts of sporting events. He was a true inspiration to many people. His generosity, kindness, and spirit created a positive impact on an entire community. Everyone will miss him and remember the time he blessed us with his presence. Preceded in death by parents, Lewis and Thelma Walden; brother, Edwin; sister, Doris. Survived by wife, Carol Sanderson Walden; sons, Pat Walden and wife, Tammy; grandson, Ryan, Whit McHenry; granddaughter, Caira; sisters, Norma Walden of Knoxville, Bobbie Carol and husband Carnell of Kingsport; along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow at 7 pm. Pastor Austin Moore officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:15 am Monday at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for an 11:30 am interment with military honors. Pallbearers: Gary Eckert, Ed Singleterry, Gary Love, Mike Huffaker, Pat Walden, Ryan Walden, Whit McHenry and David Williams.
