Hickman, Eugene Edward, age 84, of Strawberry Plains, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011 in Crossville, TN. He attended Paw Paw Holler Baptist church, and he served in the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olif and Ada Hickman and brother, Thomas Hickman. Survivors include his wife, Cora Hickman; children: Patricia and Floyd Swanson, David and Lana Hickman, and Brian and Melanie Hickman; grandchildren: Chris Stokes, Cheryl Stobs-Haggerty, Justin Hickman, Tyler Hickman, Michelle Hickman, Eric Hickman and Michael Hickman; brothers and sisters: Bill and Betty Hickman, Emma Bailey, Olif Hickman, Barbara Elkins, Linda Travis, Brenda McSpadden, Mary Flanders and Becky Cox. The family will receive friends from 12pm-2pm on Saturday, June 18th at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2pm with Rev. Edward Reed officiating.
