

She is the daughter of the late James Columbus and Nannie Lee Corley.
She is preceded in death by husband Charles Christian, son David Christian, siblings Harvey, Ruth, Martha, Clara, Sharon and Terry.
She is survived by daughter Charlene Pittman (Frank), son James Christian (Bonnie), siblings Margaret and Johnny, grand children Francis Loveday (Daniel), Tabitha King (Lonnie), Daniel Pittman, Stephanie Christian, and James “Little Jimmy” Christian (Lauren). Great grandchildren Charles Loveday, Sarah Bryant, Katelyn Loveday (Joseph Spencer), Noah McElfresh, Hannah King, Marissa McElfresh (Michael Jeffries), Sarah King, Savannah Lane, James “Jam” Christian, Catherine Christian, and Jacob Christian. Great great grandchildren JaKoby Jeffries, Kendall Bryant, Christian McElfresh-Stitt, and Navaeh King.
Evelyn was born on March 24th 1935 in Fosters, Al to James Columbus and Nannie Lee Corley (Ballard). She married the love of her life Charles Christian in 1953. They had 3 children David, Charlene and James. She loved the Lord and was devoted to her beliefs. In 1970, she earned her LPN license and served in the nursing field until she was 70 years old. She dedicated her life to caring for others. She was very quick witted and would keep people on their toes. She loved gardening, traveling, spending time with family, solving puzzles, and caring for her dog, Snickers, until his passing in 2021. She is very loved by her family and will be missed tremendously.
She always said I love you more. We love you more too.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 16 from 2pm to 4pm at Berry Highland Memorial on Kingston Pike in Bearden with a service to follow at 4pm. There will be a family graveside service on Monday, October 17 at 11am.
