Evelyn Burgin Dunn

Dunn, Evelyn Burgin, age 98, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2014. Evelyn was born in Etowah, Tennessee, but was a long-time resident of South Knoxville and a member of Vestal Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Dunn; parents, Augustus and Georgia Burgin; and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Dunn; sisters-in-law, Judy Burgin and Carol Dunn; several very caring nieces and nephews; and some very special dear friends whose support meant so much. The family would like to extend a special thanks to UT Hospice for all their help and encouragement over the past few months and to Tennova Residential Hospice in Halls for making the last few days of her life so comfortable. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2014 followed by a remembrance in her honor at 4:00 PM with Rev. John Wilson officiating.
