Evelyn Ramsey Wood, 88, went to be with her husband and daughter on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Evelyn was a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church, an avid UT fan and loved books and the library. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by husband, William Harold Wood; daughter, Glenis Marie Stevens; brother, Joe McNew. Evelyn is survived by granddaughter, Kaitlyn Moore; brother-in-law and wife, Leon and Jewel Rahe and several special friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Daniel Ogle officiating.
