Everett Woodard Smith

Everett W. (Smitty) Smith, 75, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly Saturday, December 2, 2017 at his home. He loved God, family, woodworking, music and was an active member and Deacon at Rocky Hill Baptist Church.

He leaves, to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 35 years, Linda (Shorty) Smith; three sons, Brian and wife Stephanie Smith; Deron and wife Anita Barkley and Victor Barkley; grandchildren, Taylor Smith and Cameron Barkley; siblings, Jan Branum, Lois (Alberta) Travis, Corry Smith, Dale Smith and Janet Gale Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends. The Smith family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee, 37919. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Scott Whaley officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the building fund of Rocky Hill Baptist Church, 7409 S. Northshore Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee, 37919.
