Faye McHaffie Davis

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. When God created mothers, he blessed us with you. Faye graduated from Central High School and worked for many years at Park Bank before becoming a mother and homemaker. Second to Family, her hobbies included playing bridge with many very dear friends, square dancing or dancing of any kind, traveling, the Big Orange Volunteers, and socializing with her longtime friends.

Faye was a devoted wife to her late husband, Calvin G. Davis, for 69 years before he passed away on 10-9-22. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.G., parents, R.L. (Roy) and Nella McHaffie, sister, Joan McHaffie Wright, and brother-in-law, Charles M. Fife, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Denise (Ricky) Thompson and Donna Davis, granddaughter, Sabrina (Nathan) Chamberlain, and great granddaughter, Kyla Chamberlain, her sister, Gayle McHaffie Fife, and her nephew, Lee Wright (Alina, L.J. and SaVannah).

The family cannot adequately express their heartfelt love and gratitude to everyone at Sharon Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for over 50 years and for the outpouring of love to Faye over the last few years. Also a special thank you to the staff of Morning Pointe of Powell for their care and kindness in their treatment of Faye before the Lord called her home.

Family and friends will meet for a funeral service on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919. Dr. Jim Robertson will officiate.
