Fern Claire Queener, age 86 of Knoxville passed away March 16, 2017 at Elmcroft Assisted Living. She was a member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Ida Smith; sister, Ilah Mae Smith Maloney and brother, Rufus, Jr. Survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack D. Queener; son, Rev. David A. Queener and wife Helen; grandchildren, Sarah, Emma, Molly and Jonathan Queener; sister, Jane Smith, several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Montreat-Anderson Girls Prepatory School, the University of Florida and the University of Tennessee. Visitation will be from 6-8 Monday at Weaver Funeral Home.
