Fern Spencer Talley

TALLEY, FERN SPENCER - 83, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Fern retired from the Tennessee School of the Deaf where she served as the dorm counselor. She touched the loved of many youth and was a devoted Vols and Braves fan. She is preceded in death by parents, Irving S. and Naomi C. Spencer; husband, Robert L. Talley; brothers, Robert, Franklin, and Jennings Spencer; sister, Alice Bartee. She is survived by son and daughter in law, Ryan and Cindy Talley; grandchildren, Erin Talley, Ryan (Melissa) Talley, Morgan (Adolfo) Salas, Holly and Megan Wilson; great grandchildren, Faith, Georgia, and Lylah Talley; sister, Patsy Kenney and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Friday July 18, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home with a 7:00 p.m. service to follow with Rev. Chris Partain officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday July 19, 2014 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Knoxville Center for the Deaf.
