

Frank Leroy Rouser, Jr., died on April 3, 2017, surrounded by his devoted family at UT Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born June 26, 1927, to Iva and Frank L. Rouser, Sr., and was a life-long resident of Knoxville. He graduated from Old Knoxville High School, attended the University of Tennessee, and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He and his wife, Sharon Waddell Rouser, celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this past January 28th, and had two children, Martin and Lesley. He was owner and president of Frank L. Rouser Company, Inc. Audio Visual, which was founded in 1931 by his father. He won a state championship in model airplane building as a child, which inspired a life-long interest in aviation. A lifetime member of the Sports Car Club of America, Frank also won many championships in auto-crossing, where he made many friends through the years, and was known as "Daddy Rabbit." He had a multitude of friends through many interests, who were not just friends, but deeply devoted friends. He loved his family very much, as we did him, and he will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Iva Anderson Rouser; grandparents, Frank A. and Electa Rouser and Willis and Minnie Anderson; beloved sister-in-law, June W. Evans; and nephew, David Evans. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; son, Martin and wife, Kim; daughter, Lesley Hardin and husband, Wesley; grandchildren, Rachel Pitts Maharaj and husband, Cadill, Andrew, Spencer and wife, Stephanie; sister, Minnie Lee Mynat; his nieces and nephews, Diana Ricketts (Tom), Lora Evans, Matt Mynatt (Lisa), Cissy Delbridge (David), Lissa Mynatt (Ron), Dee Immel (David), and Richard Mynatt; and great-nieces and nephews, Sunny Orr (Channing), James Evans, Sarah Mynatt, and Matthew Mynatt. We want to thank Eugenia (Chick) Bowman, his caregiver and our good friend, whose loving care made Frank's last days much easier. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Berry Funeral Home from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a celebration of life service to follow at 8:00 o'clock.
