Gene served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was always running the roads or working and spent most of his years as an electrician at K-25 and Y-12 in Oak Ridge. He and his wife, Judy, also owned and operated Rainman Umbrellas together for 20+ years. Always a jokester, bargain hunter, friendly and rarely met a stranger anywhere he went.
He leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Skip Miller; grandchildren Chase and Nikki; and friend/Ex-wife, Pat Hagaman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ella Sayne and wife, Judy Faye Sayne.
A funeral service will be held at Berry Highland Memorial Chapel Mausoleum on December 30, 2023 at 2pm. All friends and family are welcome. Attendees are asked to consider wearing a plaid flannel shirt and Crocs to honor Gene.
