

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fred McMurray, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who went home to The Lord at the age of 79 on July 23. Born in Williamsport, PA (home of the Little League World Series) in 1944. He lived a fulfilling life dedicated to his family.
A devoted family man, he leaves behind his loving spouse of 54 years, Randy McMurray, and their amazing children, Courtney (Forrest) Reed and Megan (Kevin) Ellison. Also, 5 precious grandchildren: Ben and Gabe Reed, Logan, Reagan and Morgan Ellison
Throughout his life, Fred was passionate about golf and fishing, which brought him immense joy and connected him with many lifelong friends. He touched the lives of countless people, leaving behind lasting memories and a legacy that will be remembered with fondness.
A Celebration of Life to honor Fred’s life will be held in the lobby at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 on July 27 at 1:00 PM. We invite all who knew him to join us in celebrating the extraordinary life he lived and to find comfort in the memories we share.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Jude’s Research Hospital in memory of Fred McMurray. We praise the Lord that Fred (Dad) is in Heaven and we are comforted knowing we will see him again.
