Gary served in the U.S. Army and owned a Firetruck Ice Cream and Mechanical Hospital. Gary was an avid junk collector (Man) who could fix anything, but the impossible took a little longer. He was a charter member of the The Smoky Mountain Antique Engine and Tractor Association.
Preceded in death by parents, Mark and Mildred White. He is survived by son, Mark (Karen) White; daughter, Laura White Bond; 6 grandchildren, Micah White, Faith Bond Waisner, Braden Bond Waisner, Corinne Bond Waisner, Emma White and Matthew White; girlfriend, Laura Cagle.
A visitation for Gary will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee 37924. Following the visitation, will be a funeral service at 7:00 pm at McCarty-Evergreen, Rev. Mark White officiating. Family and friends will meet at the East Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Highway, on Monday, February 28, 2022 for a 12:30 pm graveside service.
