Geneva Cox passed away peacefully on April 16, 2018. She was born on Jan. 7, 1919 in Knoxville, TN and lived her entire life on a farm in the Karns Community. Geneva was pre-deceased by her parents, Fred and Beulah Smith Cox, brother, Clyde Cox, sister, Virginia Cox Von Spreecken, and niece, Paulette Von Spreecken Fetzer. She is survived by her nephew Fred Fetzer and great-nephews, Marc Fetzer, Scott Fetzer, and Taylor Fetzer. Geneva worked for 41 years for Knox County Schools as a Secretary at Karns High School and Byington-Solway Technology Center. She retired in 1983. She was a lifelong member of Beaver Ridge Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank her primary caregiver, Diane Harvey, and her other weekend caregivers for the excellent care they gave Geneva in her home. A graveside service will be held at New Gray Cemetery, 2724 Western Ave., Knoxville, on Friday, April 20, 2018, at 10 AM.
