Geneva Austeen Gentry

Geneva Austeen Gentry "Granny", age 95, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Geneva was an avid UT Vols Fan, and loved spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Melvine Ward; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; grandson, David Gentry; and son-in-law, George Massey.

Geneva leaves behind her children: Jerry Gentry (Princess), Penny Massey, Charlotte Butler, Ernie Gentry (Sue), Sandra Hatcher (Otha), Tony Gentry (Connie), Patsy Hatcher (Gary), Jimmy Gilland (Brenda); grandchildren: Michael, Robin, Jesse, Brentley, Tim, Terry, Jerry, Ryan, Dwayne, Whitney, Cindy, Angie, Amanda, Krisi, Dakota, Jason, Heather, Timmy, and Jennifer; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 pm Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Berry Funeral Home to proceed to Stock Creek Cemetery for a 3:00 pm graveside service.
