

PINNER, GEORGE WASHINGTON- age 78 of Knoxville passed away September 15, 2010 at NHC Ft. Sanders. He was of the Baptist faith, an Army Veteran of the Korean War, and retired from the Knoxville Fire Dept. after 26 years of service. Preceded in death by parents James and Dona Pinner, sisters Mildred Halliburton, June Hatley, and Frankie Cedars, brothers-in-law Bill Halliburton, Leon Kosier, and John Bayless. Survived by wife Barbara Underwood Pinner, son and daughter-in-law William and Megan Pinner, daughters Karen Graham, Georgetta and Ronnie Miller, grandchildren Kelsey Pinner, Chad Graham, and Chris Miller, great-grandchildren Casey Miller, and Kaylee Graham, sisters Louise Kosier, and Wilma Bayless, brother-in-law Ed Underwood, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow at 8 pm. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Saturday at Weaver Funeral Home to proceed to Rocky Hill Cemetery for an 11 am interment. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to MDA or Juvenile Diabetes.
