

Gerald “Keith” Bentley, Sr., 83 of Seymour, TN, went to Heaven on Monday, July 13, 2026. He was relieved of his pain from many cancers after over 26 years. We want to thank his terrific doctors, Dr. Jay Young, Dr. Richard Lee, and Dr. Joseph Myers, for their wonderful care over the years.
Keith worked most of his life in heavy equipment and excavating. He could operate pretty much any piece of equipment he was given. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers in NASCAR. Old cars were a passion of his, especially his “49” Black Mercury and motorcycles, he got enjoyment working on them.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald A. and Louella Yonker Bentley of New York; mother-in-law, Cleo Blake Lively of Seymour, TN and West Virginia; father-in-law, Stuart F. Blake of West Virginia.
Keith had a great love for animals, especially his cats Coco, Stempe, and Cinder. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of which always brought him joy and delight.
He is survived by his friend, wife and caregiver of 65 years, Stuart Ann Blake Bentley; children and prize possessions, Dusty Ann Bentley & G. Keith Bentley, Jr.(Lisa); dear grandchildren, Fallon Bentley Houser (Corey), Alexis Clark (CJ), and Dustin Blake Morin (Carrie); and precious great grandsons Deaglan Blake Houser, Levi T. Bledsoe and Trey Clark.
Pallbearers are Keith Bentley Jr., Corey Houser, CJ Clark, Dustin Morin, Jeff Kircher, and Joe Allsup.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 17, 2026, in the Magnolia Chapel at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, from 12pm - 2pm with a funeral service at 2pm officiated by Pastor Dwight Singleton. A committal prayer will immediately follow in the Mausoleum Courtyard.
