Jerry was a beloved and cherished presence to those who knew her. Her life reflected a quiet strength and enduring care that left a lasting imprint on her family and community.
Jerry graduated from Young High School in 1959. That same year, she married Sam B. (Buster) Evans, and they shared 57 years of marriage until Sam’s passing. Through the years, Jerry’s devotion to her family remained constant, expressed in the everyday ways that build a home and sustain generations.
A faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Seymour, Jerry found meaning and comfort in her church family and the life of worship and fellowship it offered. Her steadfast faith helped shape the way she loved, served, and persevered.
Jerry is survived by her children, Stephanie Randles (Rick), Robin Hembree, and Sammy Evans (Kay); her sister, Nancy Acuff; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Patsy Merriman and Barbara Morgan.
The family extends a special thank you to U.T. Hospice for the loving care. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
