Gertrude Grace Johnson

Gertrude Grace Johnson, 97, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was a member of New Prospect Presbyterian Church. Gertrude retired from Millers Department Store and was active with Baptist Hospice for several years after her husband passed away. She was preceded by parents, George and Anna Christopher; husband, Ralph L. Johnson; daughter, Brenda Henderson; 2 brothers, George Christopher and Robert Christopher; 1 sister, Betty Wells. She is survived by daughter, Patricia Herron; 3 grandchildren, Laura Herron, Andrea Gibbs and Mark Henderson; great-granddaughter, Molly Lyons and great-great grandson, Koda Lyons; several nieces; and special thanks to the staff at Beverly Park Place. The family will receive friends Monday, January 15, 2018 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with service to follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Jerry Anders officiating. Family and friends will go in procession to New Prospect Cemetery following funeral service. Condolences may be offered at www.berryfuneralhome.com
