Gladys M. Scott (Hofto), 91, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016. Maxine was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and worked in the Knox County school system for 25 years. She was a devoted member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Maxine was preceded in death by parents, Knute and Effie Hofto; son, David Leslie Scott Sr.; sister, Ruth Hodgkiss; brother, Leslie Hofto. She is survived by grandson and wife, David and Jayna Scott; granddaughter, Becky Tucker; special friend, Jeannie Tucker; 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephew. Memorial service will be conducted Friday, October 21, 2016 at 6:00pm with Pastor Jack Wilder officiating at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
