

Dillinger, Harley L. “Dilly”, age 82, of South Knoxville, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Tennova Residential Hospice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fate and Edith Dillinger; sisters, Geraldine Koester, Sally, and Trula Dillinger. Harley is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce McLemore Dillinger; his children: Darrell (Debi), Sheila (Mark) Rader, and Ronnie (Huellen); grandchildren: Blair (Bethany), Heather, Katie (Todd) Sansom, Zachary, and Courtney; great-grandchildren Isibel, Colbie, and Evan. He served in the Army Reserves. Harley was an avid stock car racer, hunter, and fisherman. He owned and operated a trucking business for General Shale Brick Company for 40 years. After retirement, he spent much of his time at his farm gardening and camping in Cherokee, North Carolina where he made many new friends. Harley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 25th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM on Monday, May 26th at Stock Creek Cemetery for the interment service which will begin at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Buddy Johnson and Rev. Denny Ford.
