.Rev. Harold Renken O’Bannon, Age 89 of Seymour, passed in peace on January 12,2025. He graduated from Maryville College and Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. He was a proud and loyal retired Presbyterian minister; he served for 41 years in East and West Tennessee, including First Presbyterian Church, Etowah; Eastminister Presbyterian Church, Memphis; and First Presbyterian Church, Dyer. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Amelia Maples O’Bannon; son, Steve O’Bannon and wife Kathy; daughter, Lydia O’Bannon Workman; daughter, Rebecca O’Bannon Hooper and husband Carl; and son, Mark O’Bannon and wife, Jennifer. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
