Hazel Beasley Ayers

HAZEL BEASLEY AYERS, 95, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. She was a devoted wife of 24 years and was blessed with 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She loved sewing, quilting, baking and growing her own vegetables and beautiful flowers. She had a great love of God and was a member of Central Baptist Bearden, where she participated in the quilt ministry. Preceded in death by her husband, James Boyd Ayers; parents, Wise and Grace Beasley; son, Ronnie Ayers; brothers, Edsel, Coolidge, Welden and John Beasley; sisters, Helen Robinson and Vada Norris. She is survived by her children; Norma Buhl, James Ayers and wife Laura, Rebecca Justice and husband Chris; grandchildren, Anthony Buhl and girlfriend Caroline Haynes, Lindsey Chapman and husband Dereck, Joshua Justice, Scarlett and Jackson Ayers; great grandchildren, Kylie and Luke Chapman; brother, Richard Beasley; sister, Laura Melton and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Family will receive friends in Weaver’s chapel Sunday from 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm with service to follow at 4:00 pm. Family and friends will meet 12:45 pm Monday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Rd., Powell, TN for a 1:00 pm interment.
