What a wonderfully magical woman -- always made me and, I suppose, everyone she met feel so very special.  The last time I saw Sue at church, I asked her how your Momma was doing, she put those hands on her hips and said, "well they just couldn't get Helen to eat, but I did!!"  I said, "well she was probably afraid not to!"  Sue got a good laugh out of that!!  They had such a wonderful relationship and I treasure a few of those myself.  It was my honor to have known your Mother and I'm sure you will all miss her so, as will I and all of her Graystone Family.  Prayers and love.  Leslie

I met Mrs Blair in the late 90's her grandson Ryan and my son played little league baseball together.  I was fortunate to become friends with her daughter Laura.  Mrs Blair would regularly come to see Ryan play baseball.  But she also became my friend!!  Now, if there ever was an example of a true southern diva, she was it!!  I can honestly say, she made a mark in my life!! To the Blair/West family, we share your loss and pray you find comfort in knowing she is making everyone in Heaven smile!!!

Helen was a wonderful lady!   So much fun.  I immediately remembered she and Sue doing the coconut dance at Graystone one Wednesday night supper.  The curtain opened to the Hawaiian wedding song with them wearing grass skirts and well placed coconuts.  They brought the house down.  I’ll bet they are at it again and she reunites with your dad, her love.  I loved her and she constantly bragged on all her chickens.  She sure did a good job with you guys.  Peace and comfort to you.  Graystone and I will miss her.

Oh the memories of Helen with the Atchleys.  Fifty+ years of being next door neighbors-- playing whiffleball, badminton and other games in the backyard, fellowship around the pool, hollerin' at each other from windows and kitchen doors...  Dad chauffeuring Helen and Mom around, Helen going with us to UT football games, worshipping with her at Graystone, the bridge groups at both homes....so many precious memories.  All memories  are filled with laughter and love.  Mike, Jeanette and Laura, I love you!  My prayers are with all of you.

I am saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. At the same time, thinking of your Mom brings a big smile to my face. Your Mom and Dad were such great friends with my parents. They had the type of friendship seldom seen anymore. There were several couples who visited in each other's homes on a regular basis - it was very special.
I have very fond memories of your Mom (and Dad) and will be thinking of her, and each of you in the coming days.
Peace and mercy to you and your families. Your Mom will be missed, but her legacy will live on through you and your families.

Enjoyed knowing Helen for forty 42 years. We met through her work at the Knox County Clerk's office. Helen was special and she will be missed.

Helen was a very kind and sweet mother in law. She welcomed me into her family from the very beginning and she always made me feel loved and welcome when I was around her. She knew I loved to eat and she would always ask Jeanette if I had eaten. She was adventurous and she loved to have fun. I have many fond memories with Helen to include her climbing into one of my tree stands, taking a ride with me in my polaris ranger, and picnicking at Cades Cove. We have several things in common. We share the same birthday and we are both Carolina Gamecock fans. I told her she did a wonderful job raising my wife, Jeanette, and I thanked her for instilling many of  the values Jeanette lives by today. I have told Jeanette for many years that I see her mom in her looks and her actions. I am a blessed man to have known Helen Blair  and to have her daughter for my wife. Thank you Helen for being my friend. I will always love you and I will see you again. God bless you!

Thinking of you during this time. Helen was a great neighbor and will be missed greatly. I will be praying for all the family.

I will always remember Helen's smile and sense of humor. She has been a member of my faith family at Graystone for almost my whole life. I cherish her friendship and her many blessings to me. My sympathies to all of the Blair family. 

I was especially thinking of her on Friday and trying to decide if I could get some flowers to her. Well, this is for you, sweet Helen.

Met Helen through my friendship with Leslie (Mike’s wife) had some fun times at Mike and Leslie’s home including birthday celebrations, cookouts and just get together. Helen and my mother shared a birthday and just a year apart in their ages. She was a very sweet lady and had a beautiful smile. Also personally loved her accent so loved hearing her talk. Rest In Peace Helen in the hands of God .




I will never forget this loving lady and the wonderful wife and mother she was. Spending time in her home as a child and as a teenager is a forever memory. 

I’ve always considered Ms. Helen as part of the family. We went to many UT football games together, and I will always picture her standing on her back porch talking to us as we floated around in the pool every summer. 
I know how much it hurts to lose a precious family member, but I can’t help but smile knowing she’s with Grandmother (probably stirring up trouble or talking up a storm) along with all of our other loved ones in Heaven. 
May God grant you His peace today and in the days to come.  The Atchley's love y’all. 

I remember Helen coming to my house playing bridge with my mother, Dorothy Marshall and many of their friends.  Such a beautiful person.  

I fondly remember Mama Blair’s wonderful laugh. She was a joy to be around, fun and energetic! She will be missed!

Laura and Family- I am so sorry for your loss.  Your mom was one great lady!  Although she will not be there in physical form, she will live in your heart forever.  It was a blessing to know her.  Thoughts and prayers are being sent your way as you grieve and celebrate your wonderful mom.
