Carpenter, Helen Fair, of South Knoxville, died peacefully on January 7, 2011. She was born on September 4, 1934. Helen was preceded in death by parents, John and Etta Fair; husband, Delmer Carpenter; brothers, Jay and Robert Fair; sister, Otha Howlette. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Terry and Sharon Carpenter; Russell and Stephanie Carpenter; grandchildren: Kelly Carpenter and Lauren and husband Sean Simpson; great-grandchildren: Caroline and Taylor Simpson; sisters, Elizabeth Ewing and Golda Dean; numerous nieces and nephews. Helen’s greatest love was her family. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 Noon.
