Henry ”Hank” Hynson Quimby went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2016. Henry was a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a retired Navy Reserve Lt, who served in World War II. He was active in John XXIII Catholic Center for many years and a member of All Saints Church as well as active in multiple civic and volunteer organizations; SCORE, VITA, IESC, Navy League, Wimbledon II, and Homeowner Association. Hank was an avid traveler and volunteer after retirement, when not traveling with Ruth and doing volunteer work, he enjoyed playing bridge with his wife Ruth and their friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elsie and Levi Quimby, his brother Irvin, first wife Phyllis, second wife Ruth and stepson, Daniel S. Hibbard.
He is survived by his daughter, LeAnne Minor (Steve), son, David Quimby (Suzette), stepdaughter, Susan Hubbard (Bob). Grandchildren; Ian, Erin, Evan and Nicholas. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Otis, Tamera and all the medical staff that assisted Hank.
The family will receive friends at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, April 17 from 12 -2:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church on Monday April 18, 2016 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow immediately service at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery.
