Herb Longmire, age 55, of Seymour, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. He enjoyed dirt-racing, hunting, fishing, and "slangin" grass with his best friend and son, Hunter Longmire. Herb was a simple man who loved his family more than anything. He always sought out ways to lend a helping hand to others anytime he saw the opportunity. Herb always found the perfect ways to show love and affection to his loving wife and high school sweetheart, Tammy. He was a long-time employee for Volunteer Mechanical. His son Hunter will make it his mission to carry on his Dad's legacy of being a selfless man who always thought of others before himself. He was the best Dad, Husband, father-in-law, provider, mentor and friend anyone could ask for. Herb loved his little buddy, Chipper.
Herb lived each day to the fullest and often reminded everyone that, "life was too short to worry about everything."
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Cecil Longmire and Carolyn "Sue" Longmire.
Herb is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Tammy Longmire; son and daughter-in-law, Hunter and Nicole Longmire.
Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, Friday, January 21, 2022 for a 3:00pm Graveside Service officiated by Rev. Tommy Clark.
