Herbert F. Ayres, age 91, born in Knox County, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017. He was a member of the South congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Herbert was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Raines Ayres; parents Robert Byrd Ayres and Mamie Jane Brady Ayres; and brother, James T. Ayers. He is survived by a niece and nephew, and several cousins. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. for the interment service. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Young High Pike at 7:00 PM with Gerald Johnson officiating.
